Imagine Will and Chris

Updated: Jul 14

I never received a Barbie as a child no matter how many years in a row I put her at the top of my Christmas wish list. My Down the Prairie Rabbit Hole Romance Series finally gave me an excuse to go buy one myself. It's easy to imagine the characters Will Boone and Christine Monroe using particular Barbie and Ken dolls. It was this or AI. However, I can't picture my beloved characters with two irises in their eyes and six fingers on their hands, even though my grandson thought using Mattel dolls would seem weird to my readers. Frankly, I don't give a damn. It's my make-believe world, after all.

Chris has sable hair in my stories, the genetic gift her auburn-haired father with Scots-Irish forebears gave her. I describe her eyes as dark brown to black--depending on her mood--like her Lakota mother, but I couldn't find a Barbie doll to mirror that. On the other hand, Will Boone is a tall, lithe, blond, blue-eyed dreamboat of Dutch extraction and some Kens perfectly fit this description. I didn't want one that had a big toothy grin, though, or looked like Ryan Gosling. My Will's soft smile gives off a sexy vibe. And Ryan looks too self-absorbed.

This photo best depicts my hero and heroine. I was lucky to get them jointed so they can kiss and cuddle just like they do in the novels. I won't add anything to that. I'll leave it up to your own erotic imaginations. Oh, if you recognize the dress, Chris tricked Margo Robbie into giving it to her...
